How do I enroll my clinic to use the DVMInsight platform?
Please call (866) 669-8090 or open a support ticket at www.dvminsight.net ; choose 'Request for New Client Registration' and ask to enroll your hospital as an existing PetRad client.
Why is PetRad making this change?
Use of the DVMInsight platform will allow us to continue offering high-quality teleradiology services to your hospital, while improving radiologist availability by expanding the pool of ACVR board-certified radiologists providing coverage for PetRad clients.
Do I need to use special software?
No, the new submission system uses your existing DICOM software along with web-based forms for submission of cases.
Why is this better for my hospital?
The new system will improve turnaround time for your reports. Cases you submit will be archived online, and you can view your images and reports online at any time. STAT submissions will now be an option when submitting a case for interpretation ($30 additional fee will apply).
How will I submit cases?
You will login through the PetRad website using your hospital’s ID and password prior to submitting your cases. Your images will be submitted to the DVMInsight servers directly, after which you will complete a request for interpretation using their WebPR system in your web browser
Can I choose a radiologist?
You may choose either the first available radiologist, or any available PetRad radiologist listed under the heading "PetRad Duty Radiologist". If there is no PetRad radiologist on duty then only the “First Available” option will be visible.
Who will be reading my case if I choose “First Available”
PetRad has contracted with a select group of trusted, ACVR board-certified radiologists to provide backup coverage on an as-needed basis.
Can I e-mail images?
No. All images must be submitted using either direct DICOM transfer or using the DVMInsight web-based file uploader.
Can I fax referral forms to PetRad?
No, all requests for interpretation of digital images will now be created using the web-based WebPR submission system.
How will I receive reports?
You will still have a choice of e-mailed or faxed reports, and you can choose to receive both. You can also retrieve past reports using the website at any time.
What if I have a question about a report?
All e-mailed reports are cc’d to the interpreting radiologist. Please contact the radiologist directly by e-mail with any questions about a report.
How will I be billed?
There will be no change in billing. Your hospital will be billed monthly for all cases submitted to PetRad for interpretation, regardless of whether a PetRad radiologist or an outside radiologist interprets the study.
Are your fees changing?
There will be no changes to the PetRad fee schedule for 2011, with the exception of the new “STAT” fee, which is $30 in addition to your standard interpretation fee if you request STAT service.
